Bombora + Outreach - FAQs

Company Surge® Intent data identifies which businesses are actively researching products or services signaling buying intent. It indicates when a business is consuming content on an Intent topic significantly more than usual, according to historic data consumption behavior and benchmarks. 

The Bombora + Outreach integration creates ‘high priority’ tasks when accounts show buyer intent, allowing sales teams to prioritize prospects and take immediate action to engage their best accounts. For more information on this integration, read the one-pager or visit the partner details page
 

  1. How often will Intent-driven tasks be created in Outreach?
  2. Can Intent-driven tasks be synced to contacts or leads? 
  3. When will I receive tasks once I set up the integration? 
  4. Why aren’t tasks appearing in my Outreach dashboard?
  5. What happens if there are more accounts showing high intent than I have set the task threshold for? 
  6. If I upgrade from the free integration to the premium product, do I re-select topics?

  1. How often will Intent-driven tasks be created in Outreach?
    Tasks will be created weekly, usually on Sunday.
     
  2. Can Intent-driven tasks be synced to contacts or leads?
    No. Tasks are only associated to the 'Account Object' in Outreach. 
     
  3. When will I receive tasks once I set up the integration? 
    Tasks will populate the following week from when you sign up, and every week thereafter.
     
  4. Why aren’t tasks appearing in my Outreach dashboard?
    To receive Intent-driven tasks, the following is required:
    - 'Account Object' - The integration uses this object to deliver Intent-driven tasks. Tasks cannot be populated against the 'Prospect Object'.
    - 'Domain' and/or 'Website' - This field is used to match your list of accounts against        Bombora's database of monitored accounts. If missing, Bombora cannot match Intent data insights against your database of accounts.
    - 'Owner' - This field determines which of your users receives weekly tasks per account. Accounts with no assigned owner, will not receive tasks.
     
  5. What happens if there are more accounts showing high intent than I have set the task threshold for? 

    If your tasks threshold is set at 10, each account owner will only only receive a maximum of 10 Intent-driven tasks each week. If there are more accounts than this showing high intent for a given account owner, the accounts that are sent will be assessed, ranked and only the threshold number of tasks delivered based on the following criteria:

    - The number of Intent topics that account is interested in
    - The highest average Company Surge® score across those accounts

  6. If I upgrade from the free integration to the premium product, do I re-select topics? 
    Yes. A freemium user that is upgraded to a premium user will have to re-select their Intent topics.
     
  7. Will an existing Bombora customer have to authenticate and select topics?
    Yes. To use the Bombora + Outreach integration, every user will have to authenticate and select their Intent topics.
     
  8. I was assigned a task that should be assigned to someone else. 
    To reassign the ownership of a task, this video shows how to reassign the sequences and subsequent tasks to an entirely different user and mailbox.
